Knock Knee Problems and Solutions

Knock knees are similar to flat feet in that they both affect the foot's arch. An individual with knocked knees does not meet the minimum medical criteria for service in the Indian Military or the Armed Forces. Before we find out whether we have knock knees or not, let's take a closer look at this condition.

Can you explain the term "Knock Knees"?

To have knock knees, as the name implies, means that both of our knees are touching. Knock knees are known in the medical community as Genu Valgum. In other words, your knees should contact you when you stand up straight.

·        Children under the age of seven, especially those who are otherwise healthy, have a higher risk of developing knock knees than those under six. As a natural part of their development, children can experience this condition because their weight shifts onto the rear of the knee joint.

·        Knock knee often fixes itself without any intervention. Legs, like the rest of a kid's body, alter and become straighter as the youngster develops.

·        Your kid may have a health or developmental concern if knock knees do not go away on their own, the gap between their ankles is more than 10 centimetres (about four inches), and if their knees aren't symmetrical (even).

·        Most occurrences of knock-knee have unclear etiologist, although some of the most common causes are related to childhood illnesses.

How does a medical board evaluate Knock Knees?

Knock knees are often evaluated by having the applicant stand at attention. The feet should be in a V shape, with the heels touching and the toes spread. If this happens, it's called knock knees since the two legs are crossed at the knees.

When I stand at attention, my knees are touching. Am I suffering from a knock knee?

·        Don't be nervous. If the bones in your knees are rubbing against one another, you have knock knees. Do not consider yourself to have knock knees if the only contact between your legs is skin or upper flesh. Standing with both ankles touching might be difficult for someone with a knock knee.

·        Care for a Knock Knee, Including Exercises.

·        Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to remedy acute knock knee at your age. In mild instances of knock knee, there may be room for improvement.
